?What is the electric generator
An electric generator is a machine that transforms mechanic power to electric power inside a magnetic field.

Electric generators parts: There are two main parts of a generator or engine one is a mechanic and the other is electric:
The mechanic part:
Fixed part: It’s the fixed element in the machine.
Rotor part: It’s the moving part in the machine.
The electric part:
Stand frame: It’s producing power in the machine because in the electric generator or alternate generator or electric engine, stand frames generate electricity. And the frame is either installed on the fixed part or on the rotor part both in the mechanic part.
Field coils: It’s producing the magnetic field in the machine; It could be produced for the electric generator or alternate generator by a permanent magnetic field.
Coils are put on the fixed/rotor part in the mechanic part.
Transforming electricity power to coils circle is less than transform it into the stand frame. That’s why the generator is always installed on the fixed part and the stand frame is on the rotor part.
Because the amount of power transmission to the circle of coils is lower than transfer it to the frame, the AC generators are always installed on the fixed part, and the frame installed on the moving part.
Only a small amount of current field coils are transferred to the moving part to start moving with sliding rings.
The DC motors require an electric exchanger on the axis of the moving part to convert the alternating current from the carrier frame to a constant current.
